Where do I start?

So, your interested in starting a new club? Please read the Student Activities Manual.

This manual includes sample Constitution and By Laws in order for you to submit to USA. 

How do I make a proposal for more funding?

There are two options: By paper or electronically.

By paper:

First go to 110 Bray to pick up a proposal form. Fill this out to the best of your ability.

Then, make three copies. Keep one for yourself and give three copies to USA, One will be given to the President, Treasurer, and Secretary. This should preferably be done before any USA meeting. You can drop the forms off in 11 Bray, with notification by email that you have done so to one of the three executive members listed above.

By Computer:

Click the link. Copy and paste into word. Fill out to the best of your ability. Then attach the document into an email to the President, Treasurer, and Secretary. Please bring a copy for yourself to the following USA meeting. 

 

At that following USA meeting you will present your proposal under New Business, where it will be tabled till the following week. At the second meeting the proposal will be voted upon during Old Business.

What if my club wants to Travel?

A TRIP LEADER IS REQUIRED ON EVER CLUB TRIP. (Graduate students or Adviser's qualify)  

Three forms need to be completed for each trip!

Medical Information Form (for each participant)

ESF Student Club/Organization Trip Notification Form 

Student Organization Behavior Contract and Liability Release Form

All of these forms can be found in 110 Bray, the Office of Student Activities for more information. 

What if we need a vehicle?

Clubs are encouraged to use a SUNY-ESF vehicles instead of personal cars. Fill out the vehicle request form at the Physical Plant and make sure the proper vehicle is available. Also, make sure you know all trip policies in advance. 

How do clubs record Service Hours?

Clubs and students are encouraged to record all service hours online through the SUNY-ESF website. This helps the university recieve grants and awards. This could also help your organizations because the group with the most community service hours recieves a award!
